No, I'm not AWOL...
I've just been busy, what with having a week off work - I've had a lot to catch up on.
I spent a good day or so pricing up and ordering some new kit before Easter and when I returned on Monday there were several huge boxes awaiting me!
The contents included a 27" LCD TV; DVD/VCR Combo; 3 sets of PC components; 17" LCD; 4 Home-cinema projector screens etc... I've cut my hand open several times on the cheap £20 cases that I ordered for the 3 PCs, but it was fun.
Still trying to finish slickhouse.com - the layout is definately there, it's the copy that I'm taking time to write. The weird thing is, I always seem to get ideas when driving home from work at 5pm. Today I thought about changing the side-bar I've got going in the new theme, to simply a list of quick-links to all of the sub-domains - much the same as version 4. It would just make the movement from the main site to the sub-domains a lot quicker, and afterall - slicker.
On a side note, Simon and Rachel's power went on Monday evening. I got a phone call at about 9:30pm asking for a torch. It turns out that they have a pay-as-you-go style electric meter, requiring top-ups every-so-often (I-like-my-hyphens). So a quick trip to the petrol station would solve it - except Simon dropped his wallet on the forecourt at Shell. Thinking he had left it in his room, we returned to his house to collect it. After 10 minutes of panicking, he got back in the car. I mentioned the forecourt and sure enough - it was there, lying waiting for his return. Though Shell don't sell (sea shells) top-ups, but the Co-Op did. With 5 minutes to spare (before it closed) Simon managed to get a top-up card, thus giving him enough electricity to enable him to see so that he could finish building his new bed.
Wow! What a great audience!
