A bit late this one, but hey ho...

We went to see Children of Men last Tuesday, as we hadn't been to the cinema in over a month (shock horror!). It appeared to be the only decent film out at the time and all the reviews were raving about it.

IMDB gave it an 8.0 out of 10 for example.

The storyline itself is great and makes you think if there is something the modern man is doing, that will eventually prevent us from reproducing. But what is really great is the directing and camera action. For example, there must be a world record in there somewhere, as one scene clearly lasts for 5 minutes or more, without a single cut. Clive Owen manages to move through the action, explosions, gun shots etc. without messing up for what appears to be forever.

If you're looking for a film to see over the next week or two, then this should be it. Many have said it is the film of the year - I disagree, but it is definately one of the best. I reckon the top spot will go to Clive's other hit, Inside Man.

Tonight we're off to see The World Trade Centre, but I already know the outcome of that film. Click looks good too, so I might make a third visit on Tuesday.

Dont go and see Click, ill save you the money. Here a review i found on da interweb "All I wanted was a magical remote control of my own so I could skip past seeing this unfunny and monotonous piece of crap."

Oooh, OK I'll look into the reviews more. World Trade Centre is still a definate though...

hahaha i got a remote that controls things too. Surely this script was written in 1980 and left in cupboard until a cleaner pulled it out 20 years later and sold it back to hollywood for 10 dolla?

It does seem like the most obvious film, that no-one has ever made. I mean, everyone dreams about having a remote which you can pause life with.

World Trade Centre was a great filum though, definately worth seeing. Though I expected it to show more of the whole thing, whereas it focused on two characters, trapped underneath the rubble...
