An update for Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest...
Wow! If you have seen the original, then you have to see this - it is better in every way.
Much more humour, as the whole cinema burst into laughter many times. It is a lot darker than the original and the certificate (12A?) seems a bit low.
But it is fantastic. As mentioned in a previous comment, it is like the new Empire Strikes Back - a film that far exceeds the original.
I wont give anything away, but the plot is very good and there's a few twists and turns throughout. Some parts shock too, both in a scary and a OMFGWTF!!!!1! kinda way.
Davy Jones (Bill Nighy) looks very good, pretty much a completely CG face, provided by ILM.
It's Pirates, but better. The only downfall is that they've split what could be a 6 hour epic, into POTC2 and 3. Which means we'll be waiting until next summer for the final chapter - Dead Man's Chest leaves on a cliffhanger.
If you're going to watch it, wait for the credit roll to finish - as you'll see a special surprise! Just like the original had the monkey, this film goes one better.

P.S. ODEON really need to sort out their premier seating. OK they're suede and a lot more comfortable, but they also have less legroom! I couldn't stop fidgeting from the cramped conditions...
