Just a useful link for those of you that are interested in computers. Tom's Hardware has an extremely handy page, which allows you to compare many of today's CPUs against each other in several different benchmarks. It saves trawling through excess pages of waffle, to get to decent benchmark results on the many reviews you'll find scattered around the web.

The link is here. I'll put it on the sidebar too for future reference - we used it to compared an 3800 X2 with a 3500 and were quite surprised at how well the 3500 still stands up against the 'newer' dual core offerings. Let me know if it's been of use to you!

Hmm how do you make that dump section you showed me before?

We as in my Dad and I, or me and my Dad - whatever way around it is.

As for the dump section, it's simply a directory of a website, such as http://adamskii.slickhouse.com. Off the top of my head, the permissions need to be 755 (right click on the directory in an ftp program, such as Filezilla and change the permissions that way).

I dont believe it! I posted my CV on Monster last year and they finally get back to me yesterday saying there is a job in Bolton doing CAD and 3D Design on 3DSMAX fs! £18,000 and doing something good. What a joke! I forgot what the company is called but they make architectural software for B&Q and others. hmm, the guy is posting me the details tonight. shame its in Bolton not lincioln

If you wanted to do CAD btw - Lincoln Uni is advertising positions for CAD technicians, for about £18-24K I think - need to know AutoCAD, 3D Studio Max, Vis and Photoshop. 2 out of 4 put me off it.

Aye, i spotted that jobber at the uni in last nights paper. AutoCAD is easy to learn and Viz is just Max same interface and tools. I gunna apply for that as well, might as well.

Yeah commuting to Bolton would only take about 4 hours each way - no problem!
