Bit-tech reported that the browsed on the ps3 has been improved with last update, i concur, its waaaaay better. fast and seems very compatible so far. Much success!

Ben's bought a PS3, but had been playing over the standard scart connection. So last weekend we picked him up a HDMI cable. I had a go on GTA4, but found the game to look nowhere near as good as on the 360.
We're moving onto ASP.NET at work, as most of the code is in classic ASP. I have to admit that programming in ASP (.NET/classic) is a lot of fun, far better than the C++/Pascal days at Uni. Mainly because of the real world applications aspect.
Thats good but..... I have to learn C++ as well now, lol mental. Gonna be a mental December.
I find 8/10 games(demos) do look better on 360. Aliasing being the biggest issue for whatever reason.

We're getting a wii soon, with wii sports and wii fit as they're a lot of fun. I've been tempted by a PS3 in the past, due to Blu-Ray now being the dominating format, but I'll have to wait longer...
Thinking about it, if I looked back at the projects we did in Uni (written in C++), I bet I'll get it all straight away. It's funny looking back at how I used to be a guessing programmer - hoping it would work.
Si says you'll be getting CoD 5 when it's out next Friday? I'll be picking up a copy but not sure when (wedding funds).
Aye man a wii good console for partay stuff for sure. Hopefully I will get the C++ stuff more as well. I guess it was mostly down to not being arsed in Uni & being distracted by the finer things in life hehe. Hopefully it should come to me a bit easier now that ill be forced to do it with little distraction at work. If i had to learn it at home tho there is not a chance id pick it up!
The rumour is Call of duty 5 will be 29.99 at sainsbury's nxt week so if you get it then there might be a good idea. I may well get it yes, assuming it gets some decent reviews. Ive bought 2 & 3 then for some retarded reason skipped the best version (4) so might get back on track with this one. PLus I seen a video of the secret Zombie coop mode and that looked pretty fun. Ill give the beta a trial (up now on marketplace) and see how that is.

I take it your current one has died? Or does it not support the Q6600/E8400? I wouldn't know what board to go for though - as only looked at them a few months back when my AM2 board died. If you're opting for an upgrade, why not hold off until i7 drops in price?
nah erm its not for me, its for me dad but there are literally hundreds of boards, im not so sure where to look

It's Christmas Eve, Lily is now in bed asleep. We're tracking Santa and watching TV waiting for the big day! Speaking of TV, we've nearly filled the 80GB/80hours V+ box with all the films that have been on over the past few days.
